Peterson Financial Services, LLC (PFS) is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients. We want you to understand how we protect your privacy when we collect and use information about you, and the measures we take to safeguard that information. This is priority for us.

Types of non-public personal information we collect from you:

  1. Information on account applications, questionnaires and other standard forms. This includes name, address(s), phone number(s), birth date, social security number, asset types, amounts, income, tax information, family status, etc.
  2. Information about account activity, transactions, disbursements, balances, etc. Keeping this information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We restrict access to this non-public personal information to only those employees who need to know that information in order to effectively render our contracted service to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard this information.

We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose your non-public personal information to non-affiliated third parties for any purpose, including marketing. This information is only given to the financial institution where your accounts are held.

We may disclose non-public personal information about you as required by law. Even in these cases, we will seek legal counsel, at our own expense, if we are unsure the disclosure of this information is actually required. Examples of this type of mandatory disclosure include making your files available to the SEC during audits or inquiries of any nature, or disclosure of your information as ordered by a court or regulatory entity. We may make this information available to our attorneys if need be to comply with such an order or support our position in a regulatory dispute.

We may also disclose this information about you under circumstances as permitted or required by law which might include information to process transactions on your behalf, to conduct our operations, to follow your instructions as you authorize, or to protect the security of our financial records. Additionally, access to certain types of your information may be transferred vendors for the purposes of troubleshooting database problems, or upgrading computer systems and software only as necessary to continue to provide our contracted service to you.

Each PFS client is kept confidential. Third parties requesting information need to have verbal or written approval from the client before information will be given out. Examples of this would be your accountant, or attorney requesting information about you from us in order for them to complete their service to you. Unless we have been granted prior approval to disclose this information, we will first contact you to ascertain if you wish us to do so.

Due to the referral nature of our business, many of our clients know each other. Each client’s information is never discussed with other clients.

Any documents that we dispose of which contain confidential client information are shredded prior to disposal.

If you become a former client, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

We will annually offer to you the opportunity to receive a copy of this notice, and you are welcome to it at anytime by request.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time, and if we do so, you will be proactively notified of any changes that occur.
